Harness Class

In our Harness Jump Training class, figure skaters utilize both a cabled harness for floor jump development and a stationary harness with a motorized spinner to refine air and rotational positioning. The cabled harness allows athletes to safely practice take-offs and landings, while the stationary harness with spinner focuses on enhancing air alignment and control during rotation. Led by a Skate Canada certified coach, this class provides a well-rounded approach to jump training, helping skaters build strength, precision, and confidence in their jumps.

Jump Class

Our Jump Training class, led by experienced coaches, is designed specifically for figure skaters to refine jump techniques and develop crucial off-ice rotation skills. Through targeted drills, skaters will improve their jump execution, timing, and rotational power, while building the core strength, body control, and speed needed for successful rotation on the ice. This class runs concurrently with our Harness Jump Training class, providing a well-rounded approach to mastering jumps and enhancing overall performance.

Chinese Dance Class

Our Chinese Dance class combines the elegance of traditional Chinese dance with the dynamic movement required for figure skating. This class focuses on building flexibility, fluidity, and body control while incorporating unique movement patterns, balance, and artistic expression. Through a series of graceful yet powerful routines, skaters will develop enhanced posture, coordination, and body awareness—skills that directly translate to improved performance on the ice. Ideal for skaters looking to enhance their artistry, movement quality, and overall performance, this class offers a beautiful way to incorporate cultural dance elements into figure skating.

Ballet for Figure Skaters

Ballet For Figure Skaters (BFFS) is a ballet program designed to bridge the gap between off-ice and on-ice training using the Vaganova method. Skaters develop body awareness, strength, flexibility, and alignment through a progressive format that prevents injuries. The program includes floor, barre, center, and skates-on exercises, both off and on the ice, for a unified approach to figure skating training. Exercises build on one another to help skaters master movements with consistency, musicality, and expression. Taught only by certified BFFS teachers trained by creator Annette Thomas, this program can be customized for private, semi-private, or small group lessons.
