Elite Jump Performance

Elite Jump Performance (EJP) is Toronto’s premier off-ice jumping training studio, dedicated to sculpting young athletes into extraordinary jumpers. We provide unmatched training tailored for kids and young athletes, blending science-backed techniques with personalized attention through both one-on-one and small group sessions.

We specialize in developing key areas of figure skating, including jump technique, rotational control, strength, flexibility, and artistry. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment such as bungee harnesses and motorized spinners, EJP helps athletes improve jump height, air position, and rotational speed. Our holistic approach also includes spin training, ballet, and strength and flexibility classes to enhance overall skating performance.

Leslie Ip - Head Instructor and Founder

Leslie Ip is the owner and founder of Elite Jump Performance (EJP), a premier off-ice training facility dedicated to advancing figure skaters’ abilities. With a rich background in competitive figure skating, Leslie combines his extensive knowledge of the sport with his passion for athlete development to help skaters refine their skills and elevate their performance.

Leslie’s combination of competitive experience, coaching expertise, and dedication to skater development has established EJP as a trusted resource for athletes aiming to reach new heights in their skating careers. Whether guiding beginners or elite competitors, Leslie’s mission is to help each skater achieve their full potential both on and off the ice.

A former competitive skater, Leslie represented both Canada and Hong Kong SAR on the international stage. He is a three-time Men’s National Hong Kong Champion and competed at numerous prestigious events, including the ISU Four Continents Championships. His experiences at these high-level competitions have given him invaluable insights into the technical and artistic demands of the sport, which now shape his coaching methods. This unique perspective is a key element of the comprehensive training he provides at EJP.

Leslie’s coaching philosophy is centered on personalized, science-backed techniques that help athletes of all levels build strength, improve jump technique, and refine body control. He strives to create a positive, motivating environment where athletes can push their limits while receiving the support and guidance they need to succeed.

Meagan Duhamel - Managing Director

Meagan Duhamel, an Olympic champion and world-renowned figure skater, brings her unparalleled expertise and dedication to her role as Managing Director at Elite Jump Performance (EJP). With an illustrious career that includes two World Championships, an Olympic gold and bronze medal, and seven consecutive Canadian national titles in pair skating, Meagan has cemented herself as a leader in the figure skating world.

Known for her technical prowess, Meagan was one of the first female skaters to land a throw quadruple Salchow in competition, showcasing her commitment to pushing the boundaries of the sport. Her competitive experience, combined with her technical skill and drive for innovation, makes her uniquely qualified to lead athlete development programs at EJP.

In her role at EJP, Meagan leverages her years of elite training, technical knowledge, and leadership skills to drive forward programs that enhance off-ice training and athlete development. Her focus is on fostering an environment of excellence and innovation, ensuring athletes at EJP have access to cutting-edge training methods that optimize their on-ice performance. Passionate about guiding the next generation, Meagan’s unique perspective as a world-class athlete enables her to connect with skaters, coaches, and the broader skating community, inspiring growth and success at EJP and beyond.
